Privacy Policy for Docify
Last updated: July 2026
Docify ("the app") is a personal document assistant published by Sayed Murad ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and who it may be shared with.
Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier through Firebase Authentication.
- Chat messages and attachments: Messages you send to the in-app AI assistant, along with any photos or PDF documents you attach, are sent to ElevenLabs (our conversational AI provider) so it can generate a response. If you use the web-search feature, your search query is sent to Tavily, our search provider.
- Purchase information: If you subscribe to Docify Premium, Google Play shares a purchase token with us so we can verify and manage your subscription.
- Local chat history: Your conversation history is stored only on your device (not on our servers) so you can revisit past chats. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data removes it.
How we use this information
- To operate core app functionality: signing you in, managing your account, and powering the AI chat and document-analysis features.
- To enforce daily usage limits and manage subscription upgrades.
- To let you delete your account and associated data at any time.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not run analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the app.
Data sharing
We share the minimum data necessary with the following service providers so they can perform services on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions, App Check) – account management and app backend infrastructure.
- ElevenLabs – processes chat messages and document/photo attachments to generate AI responses.
- Tavily – processes web-search queries you initiate from the chat.
- Google Play Billing – processes subscription purchases; we never see your payment card details.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Data security
All data sent from the app is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Account records are stored in Firebase infrastructure with access restricted to authenticated requests from your own account.
Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account and its associated server-side data at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by visiting our account deletion page. This immediately removes your account, subscription records, and any reserved AI service allocation. Your on-device chat history is separate and can be cleared independently from within the app.
Children's privacy
Docify is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
